Initial Agronomist License Application
Requirements
- Upload a recent 2 x 2-inch digital photo of the applicant (ex. passport photo). Photo must be taken in the last 6 months, must be in color and with a solid background (ex. blue or grey). Photos can be taken with an electronic device and must be uploaded in .jpeg, .png or .jpg formats ONLY. PDF format is not accepted for images. Photos with white background, hats or glasses WILL NOT be accepted.
- Upload PDF of Criminal Background Check Clearance Form from your place, city, country or state of residency. Legal Puerto Rico residents CLICK HERE to request certificate. This certificate is valid for 30 days from the date it is issued.
- Upload PDF of Child Support Payment Status Certificate from the Child Support Administration office (ex. ASUME) from your place, city, country or state of residency. This certificate is valid for 90 days from the date it is issued. Legal Puerto Rico residents CLICK HERE to request certificate.
- Upload PDF of the official certificate from the School Administrator or Registrar, certifying that all requirements have been met for the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. *** This document CANNOT be substituted for the Diploma or Credit Transcript. ***
- Upload PDF of the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture diploma (B.S.A). The diploma must be provided by a college or institution located in the United States or Puerto Rico. The institution listed, must be accredited by the Council of Higher Education.
- Bachelor’s degrees provided by foreign universities, must be uploaded with an official Convalidation or Education Equivalency Certificate, indicating that your credits and degree have been accepted and are equivalent in the United States or Puerto Rico.
- Must be of legal age, a citizen or permanent resident of the United States and must be a resident of Puerto Rico. (Article 5 of Law 20 of April 9, 1941, as amended).
- Submit payment of $50.00 with PAYPAL, VISA, MASTERCARD or DISCOVER.
- The Examining Board will provide the applicant with an eligibility certificate for their membership enrollment in the Puerto Rican Association of Agronomists (Colegio de Agrónomos de Puerto Rico).
- Once membership is established, the applicant must return to upload the PDF of the membership certificate provided by the Puerto Rican Association of Agronomists, in order to complete the application process. Once the membership certificate processed, the Examining Board will release the agronomist license.

Agronomist License Renewal
Requirements
- Upload PDF of the certificate issued by the Puerto Rican Society of Agronomists (Colegio de Agronomos de Puerto Rico), indicating that all continuing education requirements for the renewal of the license have been completed. It must certify that the candidate completed a minimum of 40 hours/credits in educational activities. (For more information, see Regulation 6949 of Continuing Education of Agronomists). All documents should be uploaded as one PDF file.

- Upload PDF of the membership certificate provided by the Puerto Rican Association of Agronomists. The certificate must indicate that the applicant has an active and valid membership and that he/she is up to date with all institutional and monetary dues.
- Submit payment of $25.00 with PAYPAL, VISA, MASTERCARD or DISCOVER.
- This renewal application must be submitted with all requirements, 30 days before the expiration of the current license, as established by Law 20 of April 9, 1941, as amended. Failure to meet this requirement, will result in a $25.00 penalty fee, in addition to the application fee.

Voluntary Inactivation of Agronomist License
Requirements
- Complete the official online application for the inactivation of license.
- Create and upload PDF an explanatory letter indicating the reasons for requesting the voluntary inactivation of the license.
- Upload PDF of the membership certificate provided by the Puerto Rican Association of Agronomists. The certificate must indicate that the applicant has an active and valid membership and that he/she is up to date with all institutional and monetary dues.
